Orolia contracted by the US Army for Personnel Recovery Devices
Orolia, a world leader in Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) solutions, announced today that its subsidiary McMurdo Inc. was awarded a $33,986,800 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to manufacture Personnel Recovery Devices (PRD). This PRD is a dual-mode, MIL-SPEC Personal Locator Beacon that will be integrated into the Army's Personnel Recovery Support System (PRSS). The PRD will be capable of transmitting both open and secure signals (training-combat dual mode) to alert and notify that a soldier has become isolated, missing, detained or captured. Read more
